Moving into Eastern Europe and Asia
In a bid to ensure the success of its customers' international strategies, the Group has set up sites in Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic and the CIS. In Asia, its teams work in ten countries while a further ten are covered by exclusive partnerships.
Geodis Shenzhen subsidiary in November 2004 and was therefore one of the first non-Chinese logistics companies to obtain a “Permit A”, which is essential for enterprises wanting to operate in the country and invoice independently for all services provided. We also boosted our sales and marketing power on the continent via the creation of Geodis Solutions Asia, a cross-divisional entity that coordinates business development and logistics solutions design in the zone.
These efforts have already begun to pay off: the company has recently signed contracts with Daimler Chrysler Malaysia, Morgan and Metro Levistone.
Reverse Logistics, a strategic platform for growth
The Group has been developing its expertise in this field for a long time, particularly through its specialised subsidiaries such as Geodis Valenda (Automobile), Geodis Euromatic G2R (Hi-Tech), BM Pack Service (Chemicals) and its dedicated European sites, in Mainz (Germany) and Busnago (Italy).

in Reverse Logistics today.This strategy has begun to bear its first fruit: ERP (European Recycling Platform), a joint-venture founded by Braun, Electrolux, HP and Sony, has entrusted Geodis with the design, implementation and coordination of its recycling operations for current and end-of-life products in France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain and Portugal.
