After I earned my Masters in road transport, my aim was to become a sales director. And yet I've never actually worked in sales at Geodis! I started here in 1996 in the IT department and moved on to other jobs from there: project manager, quality manager, transit manager at the express platform in Gennevilliers, etc. Then in March 2006 I was appointed manager of 92 France Express, where I had worked as deputy director since 2003.
I enjoy going down to the dock, helping out the drivers, encouraging the employees, phoning the customers... I like to get involved. I don't stay behind my desk all the time and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Dialogue is the key to maintaining good relations with my teams. The door to my office is always open. But I also know when to close it: as the mother of a little boy, Lucas, I have to weigh the time I need to do my job with the time I want to spend with him. This obviously requires serious organisation… |
