After I finished university in 2004, I chose to begin my career at Geodis. Studying in Europe, in my case in the Netherlands and the UK, was a truly eye-opening experience for me. It really broadened my horizons. As a result, when I arrived at our office, which has a very international focus, things went rather well. I didn't feel any kind of prejudice against me.
My job as a logistics coordinator means I have to be well-organised. Diplomacy and good communication skills are my most valuable tools.
I find working in this business very satisfying: you have to be able to act fast and efficiently. Teamwork is very important. As a woman, I enjoy going against the stereotype that puts the transport and logistics industry in the male-only box!
