Two platforms set up in 2014 to pool resources and expertise:
In November 2014, two European platforms were set up in France, one in Compiègne and the other in Lyon, to centralize skills for higher quality in customer service and greater pooling of customer transport plans for new gains in productivity.
Road Transport services are based on a true partnership in which customers know exactly what they stand to gain, beyond the intelligence of the information system. From the start-up of a cooperation project, GEODIS sets contractual targets for improvement, with regular assessments of progress. The two specialist entities and engineering office oversee tasks with high added value: anticipating seasonality and adapting load schedules for performance and productivity.
Through this complete management offering and with the opening of the two platforms, GEODIS customers are able to switch from an approach based on short-term negotiation to a global budget management process focusing on the long term.
