Typhoon Mangkhut hit Hong Kong and Southern part of China over the weekend.
Although the Typhoon is now gone, and Airport and Terminal are reporting a gradual return to scheduled operations from today, Monday, 17 September, operations disruptions and delays are expected because of consequent backlogs and badly impacted road traffic. Road connections from South China to Hong Kong border are also hit and due to resume from 17 September afternoon onwards. Given the severe aftermath of Mangkhut, GEODIS is taking every precaution to ensure the safety and security of its people and of its customers’ goods. In the meantime, GEODIS will continue its services upon conditions allow and make sure that all relevant and updated information are shared with its customers.
GEODIS apologizes for the inconvenience this might cause and recommends that its customers inform their own customers and partners about the situation.
Most importantly, GEODIS hopes that all involved in such event are safe.
